Knowing the Model Code for the Frame TV you own is important!
Why? Because, and this is what confuses owners probably the most, the interface design, OS functionality and even the naming of certain features can be different between different model releases and/or sizes.
You can access the Model Code for The Frame TV in 2 ways. But first, while in TV Mode press on the remote to get to the home screen.
Method 1: Press on the remote for about 10 seconds until the About This TV screen pops up.
Method 2: Open the Settings Menu > Support > About This TV.
The model code has 14 characters that can be divided into 9 groups like this: QN 75 LS 03 B D F X ZA
Groups 3 to 5 are are the ones we're interested in. It is LS (short for LifeStyle series) plus the next three digits and/or characters.
Bottomline, when you're seeking support (from Samsung) always reference the model code as explained above.
The App is Samsung's hub for controlling smart home devices like your Frame TV.
Before you start, ensure the TV and your mobile device are on the same network and band. This is very important, as your router may not display the wireless 2.4 GHz band, which provides coverage at a longer range but transmits data at slower speeds, and the 5 GHz band which provides less coverage but transmits data at faster speeds, separately.
When in doubt, check the documentation for your router.
Before you start, ensure the TV and your mobile device are on the same network and band. Next, create a new album/image folder on your mobile device and place all artwork for upload into that album. This will make it easier to locate them later on.
Alternatively to the SmartThings App (see above), yet with slight variations in procedure per model year, it works very similar to any file transfer between two connected devices.
